Main Grain Bakery is growing up. It’s like she’s graduating high school and now has to figure out her next steps. She’s moving out of that comfy spot of hers where everything feels safe, cozy, and slightly cluttered, but it’s time. She can’t live with mom and dad forever.

  • Timelines are tricky. Lots of things can change. At this time we are shooting for early 2027.

  • 2041 Madison St - right in the heart of Stevens Point, WI. This building is called Central City Market. Its name is a nod to the original Central City Iron Works - a beautiful historical building under renovation!

  • Nope - We are planning on moving both the bakery & eatery to the new building. We ADORE our current space and supportive landlords that have served us SO well, but know deep down MGB is meant for brick walls and high ceilings.

  • Yes! No more one ways. Traveling on Division St? It’s right off of that. Traveling on Michigan Ave? It’s right off that too.

  • Amazing. Traveling by car, limo, bike, horse, or magic carpet… we’ve got you. Ample on site and street parking. The roads just got refinished, so it’s real fancy.

  • Nope - MGB will be located in the south portion of the building and we will share space with other market retailers and tenants.

  • Our plan is to maintain regular hours. At the new space, there are broader opportunities to do more and we will assess those as they come.

  • Yes, the Clever Girl & Asiago Thyme aren’t going anywhere. It’s the same MGB but more. We took the last year to perfect our menu and continue to do so as we prepare for this change. More chocolate espresso scones & lemon lavender shortbread!

  • Does a bear sh*t in the woods?

  • Yes! As you can tell, we are busting at the seams with red striped socks and dried floral arrangements. You all have supported this portion of our business and we are ready for more. This will be THE space for sour bon bons, unique gifts, and the best smelling candles in the entire world.

  • Yes, it’s like a tv show. You’ll sip on your coffee & maple oat scone and watch the trains change. Back in the day, when this was a foundry they used to make parts for the war and ship them via train car. Fun facts.

Natural light… beautiful brick… and a little extra space to breathe - just what MGB is looking for. Just what MGB deserves.

Michael has been our behind the scenes in-house designer making sure that every detail is covered. From lighting design to where the plants are going…. to the perfectly lined baked goods, he’s been a little mouse in the corner just clicking away. We’ve been researching… we’ve been dreaming… we’ve been brainstorming the perfect way to create the new Main Grain Bakery & Eatery.

Our new space means a long drop dead gorgeous counter where you can see every single thing we have to offer - no tip toes, no guessing, no trying to peek around the wall to see what’s left on the counter..

  • This place is going to make you feel something. You know that outfit you have in your closet, but you don’t know where to wear it? Problem solved. Put the bright blue pants on, find a cozy spot, grab a coffee, and finish that project you keep putting off. You will feel motivated and when you leave, you will start planning when you’ll be coming back…

  • This building is in the heart of Stevens Point. We’re the most convenient detour you’ll ever make. At Fleet Farm and headed downtown? Stop in. Just got your car washed at Tommy’s and headed towards Rachitos? Swing by. Live on the north side and picking up new towels at TJ Maxx? We’re honestly on the way…

  • It’s still MGB, just more of it! More space to hang, more room to browse, more local salad greens to eat!

  • Our team is still our team. The face that greets you at the counter and says “good morning!” , the one who already knows you want your scone on a plate for here — they're coming with us.
